What fitness and nutrition certification should I go with?
Serious question …
Looking for second career to keep me busy & am looking to finally get a job that I enjoy. Would like to be a general fitness trainer at the gym and am looking for a course that is comprehensive, not-crazy hard, and a good value for the money. It would need to be primarily distance learning, something internationally recognized preferred, a year or less to complete, and the cost under K.
What is a really good, natural food that is high in fiber?
I try to eat high or moderately high fiber cereals most days.
Unless you eat about 8 bowls though, none of them are going to give you all the fiber you need. And in terms of general nutrition, that would be way too much cereal anyway.
Are there any fruits or vegetables that are very high in fiber and are reasonably nutritious in general?
Who out there thinks a doctor knows anyting about nutrition?
I would just like to get a general feel for how many people out there actually beleive doctors know anything about nutrition or real health…and not just treating symtoms.

general hair loss due to bad nutrition?
I don’t really eat healthy food because I don’t really like to eat much generally. I have noticed that hair can be picked off REAL easily all over my body lately, so I think the cause is bad nutrition… it is really scary, when I comb my hair and stuff like that I get a >handful< of hair that have been picked off
(((((((((((
my eye brows, and hair in other areas are easily picked off as well
((((
I’m a 17 years old male, I would eat ANYTHING to keep my hair attached strongly to my body

Do general practitioners know about good nutrition?
My friend recently went to the doctor and was told that she needs to stop eating anything with legs, only fish is okay. But she doesn’t like fish, so the doctor basically told her that she should become a vegetarian. I told her that would be a good choice to make for her health and that she should listen to her doctor. She does not want to because she insists doctors don’t know diddly squat about diets/nutrition. I really care about her well being and would like her to make the right choice. She has health problems caused by her weight, like high cholesterol, blockage, high blood pressure, etc, and if she does not change something, she is headed for a heart attack pretty shortly. How can I convince her to take the doctor’s advice without being to pushy?
What’s the best way to find an alternative general practice doctor for a nursing mother?
I ask, because it seems like my own experience with general practice doctors is that most everything they prescribe is just pharmeseuticals or pills. What’s the best way to find a good doctor for a nursing mother, who will have more of a focus on diet and nutrition, morseo than a quick pharmeseutical solution?
(and I’m not knocking pharma, it has it’s place. But since there’s the nursing of a baby factor here, I’d rather find a doctor who’s first inclination isn’t a pharmeseutical approach, but instead a more natural one.)
Thanks.
Could someone give me nutrition and general health advice?
I am a 20 year old female, average in size. I weigh 127 lbs. and I am 5′4” tall. Is that normal? I have a big belly and it drives me crazy.
I know I don’t eat well, but every time I start a diet I end up swaying away from my goals and I feel like such a failure. I am a full time student and I am also planning a wedding so I am stressed and I pull a lot of late nighters. Plus, I don’t have a lot of cash flow and my financial needs limit what I can do.
Could someone please tell me ways I could increase my nutrition status? Would vitamins help? Which ones should I take? What should I cut out completely? What should I add? I need any kind of help I could get!
I am getting married in October of this year and I would love to have a smashing body for our honeymoon. I want to improve my overall health, not just lose weight and I am not sure how to do that. Is there a simple exercise rountine what would require a lot of time each day to do? What should I be doing?
How difficult is general chemistry?
How difficult is the course "general chemistry" in college? I looked at the list of courses in the cirriculum for nutrition/dietitics and "general chemistry" is one of them. What would I be studying exactly?
