Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac Disease Questions?

I am 16 years old and i was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease about a week ago. I am having trouble keeping my blood sugar within the guidelines and i am also having trouble finding foods to eat. Please, I need help finding filling foods i can eat, and also foods i can snack on, I love snacking and i always use to prior to my diagnosis. I cannot eat foods with too much sugar or carbohydrates, and for the celiac disease i cannot eat any foods with gluten or made from wheat. Also please tell me anything else thats very vital or important to being diabetic or having celiac disease, health wise. I work out alot and i play many sports, but i want to know what i have to do to stay healthy and live a normal prosperous life. Thank you

Diabetes, Heart Disease and Respiratory Issues – Best meals?

My father is on a mission to lose some 50lbs after getting out of the hospital. He has type 2 diabetes and just had a heart attack. He also has respiratory issues – trouble breathing, and low oxygen.

He is trying Seattle Sutton’s but the amount of sugars in their meal plans are double the USDA recommendations, let alone (he is diabetic.) Are there any links to meal ideas and recipes – recommended diet plan? Balancing ALL THREE health issues simultaneously is obviously very difficult.

Kidney disease and Diabetes questions..plez help!?

I was told a month or so that I have Kidney disease and I just saw a specialist for that about 3 weeks ago and she told me that it was not as bad as we all though and that I was stage 1 well the first time I had a 24 hour urine done it was at 1300 and about 4 weeks ago it was at 1500. I did another 24 hour a few days ago and my doc called me to tell me that it got A Lot higher. They were shocked. I am on bp meds and I take 150 units of 70/30 at meals and 160 units at bedtime. I am so.. upset and shocked. I don not understand why the protein is so bad and what I have done to make it worse. Any advice please! My husband and I went in for fertility treatments cause of pcos and that how all of this all got started. I was told that it could take up to another years to get everything under control. I a crushed.
