Does having type 2 diabetes make it harder to lose weight?

My family has a history of sugar diabetes. I don’t know if I have it… haven’t been checked but I try to lose weight by cutting back and nothing happens. Plus I have a weekness for sugary things. Could I have diabetes and could this be the cause for my weight gain and trouble losing weight?

I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, having trouble with meds?

Recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, (insulin intolerant) they started me on pills to help lower my blood sugar I have been sickevery day that I have taken them,diarrhea nausea and really weak and tired, I have placed a call to my doctor but haven’t heard anything yet? Any suggestions?

Is this eye problem part of having type 2 diabetes?

Lately I have been getting sharp pains that feel like they’re coming from the inside of my eye, or like from my top eyelid. The pain lasts for about 10 minutes, my eye twitches uncontrollably, then after 10 minutes it’s just fine.

Is this caused by having type 2 diabetes? Is it stress? or could it be something else?
I do follow my diet very strictly now, but I do not take the pills the same time every day .. I will start doing that as well

Is having diabetes and insulin dependent considered a disability legally?

I have a friend who was told her can’t get his driving permit or license untill he goes 2 or 2 whole years w/o a seizure from his diabetes. He is almost 18 now. He is insulin dependant. He has to take it after EVERYTHING he eats. I understand people will say “diabetes is a disease not a disability” but I beg to differ. A disease such as diabetes can also be a disability in alot of cases! I just need some other opinions on this.
