If i get an insulin pump which should i get? i think i should get the omnipod but what do you recomend?

Hi there. There is someone very close to me that has diabetes and live a normal life, besides 4 shots a day. However over the last ten years or so has slowly decreased in her memory capacity. For example, I will tell her a major piece of new and the next day will totally forget I mentioned it or she will bring something up that I had already answered her on before, etc. She also can be kind of spacey sometimes. In the last five years, she has had some reactions, and about four of them were in the middle of the night where her sugar level was in the low teens. Do you think her diabetes or these bad reactions can cause any mental effects? Is there any help or hope? Please help me… Thanks in adavance.
By the way, she is in her mid 50′s.

My wife has to take insulin 3 times a day now. Just curious as to how it went for you, and if you had any complications with your health, or your baby’s health.

Basically as simply as possible, what is it, and how does it help people with diabetes?

I have to take insulin 4 times daily now and am wondering if anyone else has had to do this (I’m 31 weeks pregnant).

Was your baby okay? How soon after birth did your diabetes go away? Any other experience and information would be great.

It seems to make sense that instead of Glycogenesis, Gluconeogenesis should take place because glucose is from a non-carb source, that being insulin, which is basically protein…
