Lorena Drago, MS, RD, CDN, CDE, Senior Associate Director, Lincoln Hospital, Forest Hills, NY is well known for her expertise in teaching us how to make teaching materials culturally relevant. At AADE she co-presented a program titled Type 2 Diabetes Prevention in Minority Youth—And How to Reverse the Trend. This program shared information about the American Diabetes Associations efforts in preventing type 2 diabetes in African American and Hispanic American youth.
