I have a friend who lives with her son. She is diabetic, and does odd jobs to pay for her insulin. She has other diabetes related conditions, but cannot afford the medications. She does not seem to qualify for medicaid or medicare. Are there any programs available to help her?

Are there any natural ways to help fight off diabetes using natural herbs and foods?  If so please list them.  I am paying out 0+ a month on medications that do not seem to be helping, and have been doing so for the last 3 years.  I follow a strict diet with little to no sugars and carbs, but all I manage to do is go deeper in debt and get sicker.

My grandmother is 90 years old and has congestive heart failure. She also is a diabetic that takes three insulin shots per day. In the last week she had two heart attacks, and the doctors have said there is little more that they can do for her. Monday, Hospice is going to step in and they will take her off all her medications and just give her morphine for pain until she passes away. I am just wondering what will happen to her once they stop giving her the insulin.
