Insulin Dependent Diabetes: Is there any other treatment to reactivate pancreas to generate insulin?
I am suffering from Diabetes for the past 10 years and fully dependent on Insulin. Also, resulting too much abdominal pain with fetid gas. Is there any way in Ayurveda or other form of treatment which can replace pushing insulin from outside by reactivating the pancreas to generate insulin. If so possible, then kindly inform with all the details. I shall be highly obliged for wise answers.

Are there any alternative treatments/cures for Diabetes?
In 1995 I suffered from acute pancreatitis. Surgeons removed 90% of my pancreas and this left me Type 2 diabetic. I was doing fine on pills until this past december my Endocrinologist decided to put me on Humulin R(about 15 units before meals) and and later on added Lantus(about 55 units 2x day) Insulins. In addition I’ve eaten healthier but I’ve gained about 20lbs. I really hate this and I want to get off insulin but doctors tell me that i had been using the pills (glyburide/metformin < and other variants of all these before that> and Actos) for too long and its not healthy for my liver. I’d prefer to not be on insulin dependency. I know there are stem cell studies and other research going on. But is there anything else I should be looking into ? Is insulin safe? The ingredients are horrific!
Has anyone had success with other methods???
I live in Arizona I’m a 44 year old male.
Thanks for your help.

I have type 2 diabetes, and severely high tryglycerides, and chronic pancreatitus. I have already had to have a portion of my pancreas removed. I just want to know how it all ties together, and what exactly do tryglycerides do?

Is diabetes mellitus 1 characterized only as the inability of the pancreas to produce insulin?
A person with this condition may have to give oneself intramuscular injections in order to regulate glucose level in the blood. And I understand that glucagon injections aren’t as practical because the mere consumption of carbohydrates should do the trick.
So my question is: Does the pancreas of a person suffering from diabetes mellitus 1 produce glucagon?
