This was a question for sample essay questions, and I understand why more glucose is excreted in the urine when you have diabetes but I dont see how that would increase thirst or urination? Would it mess with the concentration of urine in the nephrons?

Also, did any one who has type 2 diabetes have symptoms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), or reactive hypoglycemia (when blood sugar falls so fast that it feels low) years before they were diagnosed with diabetes? Or did you always feel fine before you were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes? My reason for asking is because I have a 60% chance of getting diabetes in the next ten years ( because I had gestational diabetes). But I am very slim yet my blood sugar always feels low and unstable even though I eat small meals throughout the day and watch my carbs.

I’ve seen a few type 2′s that have a healthy diet, are fine in weight etc. How did they get Type 2 diabetes?

There are so many people who think there is only one type and one cause of Diabetes. I look for questions, websites, anything that pokes fun at the disease so I can educate people. Call me what you will, but I’m a 13 year old diabetic with kidney disease because of it and uses an online school, so no, I have no life. Is there anything I can do to stop the ignorant?
