Are weight loss pills like slimquick bad for someone with type 2 diabetes?

I have type 2 diabetes and have very good control of my blood glucose. I need to lose some weight, and would like to know if something like slimquick would help or hurt.

Are there any alternative treatments/cures for Diabetes?

In 1995 I suffered from acute pancreatitis. Surgeons removed 90% of my pancreas and this left me Type 2 diabetic. I was doing fine on pills until this past december my Endocrinologist decided to put me on Humulin R(about 15 units before meals) and and later on added Lantus(about 55 units 2x day) Insulins. In addition I’ve eaten healthier but I’ve gained about 20lbs. I really hate this and I want to get off insulin but doctors tell me that i had been using the pills (glyburide/metformin < and other variants of all these before that> and Actos) for too long and its not healthy for my liver. I’d prefer to not be on insulin dependency. I know there are stem cell studies and other research going on. But is there anything else I should be looking into ? Is insulin safe? The ingredients are horrific!
Has anyone had success with other methods???
I live in Arizona I’m a 44 year old male.
Thanks for your help.

What’s the best way to find an alternative general practice doctor for a nursing mother?

I ask, because it seems like my own experience with general practice doctors is that most everything they prescribe is just pharmeseuticals or pills. What’s the best way to find a good doctor for a nursing mother, who will have more of a focus on diet and nutrition, morseo than a quick pharmeseutical solution?
(and I’m not knocking pharma, it has it’s place. But since there’s the nursing of a baby factor here, I’d rather find a doctor who’s first inclination isn’t a pharmeseutical approach, but instead a more natural one.)

Thanks.

Would a General Nutrition store have this?

I want to buy Acai Berry Pills and also Colon Cleanse. Where is the cheapest place to buy this? Thanks! 10 points!
