I am 30, and have been Type 1 insulin dependent for 22 years. I’d like to do things I’ve never done, such as camping. Does anyone know of any resources, or advice, that would help in this goal of mine? Those with experience are very valuable. Yes, besides being slightly over weight I am in good shape.

There are so many people who think there is only one type and one cause of Diabetes. I look for questions, websites, anything that pokes fun at the disease so I can educate people. I am suffering from Diabetes for the past 10 years and fully dependent on Insulin. Also, resulting too much abdominal pain with fetid gas. I know there is a procedure available for type 1 diabetes that works for 2-3 years (animal transplant that eventually gets rejected by the human immune system) but does it work with type 2 diabetes?
