I’m 13 and my test results are looking possibly diabetic or possibly pre-diabetic (i have to do more tests) but i don’t understand why i would have diabetes type 2. I’m not overweight, i exercise, none of my immediate relatives have diabetes that we know of… the only thing i could think of would be that i recently started eating more unhealthily but only in the last few months. Could anybody shed some light as to why i would have diabetes 2 at a young age? Thanks.

My mother is 70 yrs old, has type 2 diabetes and has bad knees, high blood presure. not very physicaly active. She would like to become more active, but walking is not a good option with her bad knees. ???

At this point I have major insurance by the county but it only last 6 months. I was diagnosed with Diabetes while on this insurance. To my knowledge, insurances companies have to cover you if you have previous insurance???? How would the preexisting condition affect this?

P.S. I am taking medication for the Diabetes 2.

I currently am writing an article about diabetes. I have been searching and reading many evidence-based articles. However, I’d like to hear your own opinion on diabetes type 2.

I am 30, and have been Type 1 insulin dependent for 22 years. I’d like to do things I’ve never done, such as camping. Does anyone know of any resources, or advice, that would help in this goal of mine? Those with experience are very valuable. Yes, besides being slightly over weight I am in good shape.

I would like to know about the two types of diabetes, how the body controls diabetes, what causes it/ what is it, how our body controls sugar levels what organs are to do with diabetes, how and I would also like equations included (I like to be in the know :p) and I heard some stuff about enzymes having something to do with it. I have checked on the net but do not understand it very well so I would please, please, PLEASE like a detailed answer I was a little scared and first of becoming her friend because I thought she would faint or something but I would like to know more about the condition as my grandfather also suffers from it I I don’t want to be ignorant. I would like a very detailed answers please answering all of the above.

I have a friend who lives with her son. She is diabetic, and does odd jobs to pay for her insulin. She has other diabetes related conditions, but cannot afford the medications. She does not seem to qualify for medicaid or medicare. Are there any programs available to help her?
